The ClimAIr project has launched its official newsletter, a new channel designed to keep stakeholders informed about the project’s progress, key developments, and available resources related to climate change, air pollution, and respiratory health. The newsletter offers readers a curated overview of the project’s activities and results to date, providing accessible and up-to-date information for policymakers, healthcare professionals, researchers, urban planners, environmental organisations, and other stakeholders interested in reducing pollution-related health risks.
What You Will Find in the ClimAIr Newsletter
The first edition of the ClimAIr newsletter highlights several important aspects of the project, including:
- An overview of ClimAIr’s objectives and scientific approach, which combines artificial intelligence, advanced environmental monitoring, and ethically sourced clinical data to study the impacts of climate change and air pollution on respiratory health
- Updates on project progress
- Insights into innovative methodologies, such as the use of federated learning and privacy-preserving AI to integrate health and environmental data
- Information on new project videos, addressing how air pollution and climate change affect allergic respiratory diseases such as asthma and rhinitis
- Highlights from collaborative initiatives, including ClimAIr’s participation in the ExpoHealthNet Horizon Europe cluster on pollution and health
- A selection of upcoming events, conferences, and meetings of interest in the fields of climate change, air pollution, and health
- Access to communication materials and resources available on the project website
Project Progress at a Glance
Since its launch, ClimAIr has brought together 21 partners from 15 countries, combining expertise in medical research, environmental sciences, artificial intelligence, public health, and policy. During the first project phase, the consortium has focused on aligning research activities, advancing data integration approaches, and developing harmonised definitions for pollutant exposures and health-related variables, laying the groundwork for future scientific results.
